READY TO GO, READY TO STAY,
READY TO DO HIS WILL
MATTHEW 13: 3 - 9
THE PARABLE: A SOWER WENT FORTH TO SOW
3. Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4. And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5. Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth:
and forthwith they sprung up; because they had no deepness of earth:
6. And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7.And some fell amonth thorns and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8. But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit,
some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
READY
Song written by A.C. Palmer 1845 - 1882
Music by Charles D. Tillman 1861 - 1943
READY TO SUFFER GRIEF OR PAIN,
READY TO STAND THE TEST;
READY TO STAY AT HOME AND SEND
OTHERS IF HE SEES BEST;
Chorus:
READY TO GO
READY TO STAY
READY MY PLACE TO FILL
READY FOR SERVICE
LOWLY OR GREAT,
READY TO DO HIS WILL.
READY TO GO...
READY TO BEAR...
READY TO WATCH AND PRAY...
READY TO STAND
ASIDE AND GIVE
TILL HE SHALL CLEAR THE WAY...
READY TO SPEAK,
READY TO THINK,
READY WITH HEART AND MIND,
READY TO STAND
WHERE HE SEES FIT
READY HIS WILL TO FIND.
READY TO SPEAK,
READY TO WARN,
READY O'ER SOULS TO YEARN
READY IN LIFE
OR READY IN DEATH,
READY FOR HIS RETURN.
Chorus: READY TO GO
READY TO STAY
READY MY PLACE TO FILL
READY FOR SERVICE
LOWLY OR GREAT,
READY TO DO HIS WILL.
As we enter the New Year,
I choose
I choose
to be READY
and LOOKING FOR HIS SOON RETURN.
I will continue in my blog - I hope you enjoy the thoughts and messages from my husband's collection - and that you may for yourself discover anew the joy of walking with God ever nearer and ever dearer. His Word is faithful, He has promised us that He would be with us to the end of the Age - to the end of the World as we know it. Someday when Eternity has begun, we will be able to look back and see with wonder and with amazement His love and grace. Sowing God's Word - Those who hear and believe will be in the gathered sheaves. We are not to worry about the results - for that is God's business - All we are to do is sow the seeds...
BRINGING IN THE SHEAVES
Written by Knowles Shaw 1834 - 1878
Music by George A. Minor 1945 - 1904
Sowing in the morning
Sowing seeds of kindness,
sowing in the noontide
And the dewy eve,
Waiting for the harvest
And the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing - bringing in the sheaves.
Bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing bringing in the sheaves.
Sowing in the sunshine,
Sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither clouds nor
winter's chilly breeze,
By and by the harvest and the labor ended -
We shall come rejoicing bringing in the sheaves.
Going forth with weeping,
Sowing for the Master,
Tho' the loss sustained our spirit often grieves,
When our weeping's over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing - bringing in the sheaves.
